February 22, 2013
(DALLAS)–Dependable Auto Shippers (DAS), one of the largest auto transport companies in the U.S. since 1954, today announced it raised $9,465 during a donation promotion created to benefit the American Red Cross fund for victims of Hurricane Sandy.
For every retail order booked with DAS from Nov. 15 through Dec. 15, the company donated $5 to the American Red Cross. During the month-long promotion, more than 1,880 orders were booked, resulting in a more than $9,000 donation to help those affected by the devastating hurricane.
“The destruction caused by Hurricane Sandy affected 24 states and millions of Americans, and it hit close to home for our extended DAS family since we have a regional hub in New Jersey,” said John Roehll, executive vice president and co-owner of DAS. “We felt it was our duty as an American company to help those living on the East Coast during the aftermath of this catastrophic event.”
